Harry Potter Matcha Butter Beer

Transport yourself to the cozy corners of the Three Broomsticks Inn or the Leaky Cauldron with this mystical concoction that combines the beloved Butterbeer with the soothing, earthy notes of Jade Leaf Matcha.

 The best way to enjoy a Harry Potter Marathon is with homemade Matcha Foam Butterbeer⁠

Ingredients:

Matcha Topping:

  • 1 tbsp  Jade Leaf Match Latte Mix
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp butterscotch topping 

Butterbeer:

  • 3 cups cream soda
  • 2 tbsp butterscotch topping 
  • 1 tsp butter extract

Preparation:

Matcha topping:⁠ 

Combine matcha latte mix with water to make a matcha shot. Add heavy cream to the bowl of a stand mixer, followed by the matcha shot, and beat mixture until soft peaks from, about 5 minutes. Add butterscotch topping and powdered sugar, then gently mix using a rubber spatula.⁠ 

Butterbeer:⁠ 

Gather the cream soda, butterscotch topping, and butter extract. Add the butterscotch topping to a bowl, followed by the butter extract, then add about ¼ cup of the cream soda and stir. Add the remaining cream soda, stir, and divide the mixture between 2 glasses. Top with a generous amount of the matcha whipped topping. Dust with matcha to finish. ⁠
