What’s in this coconut vanilla matcha smoothie?
This smoothie only needs a few simple ingredients to deliver both delicious flavor and nutrients. They are:
- Banana: potassium, magnesium, improved digestion
- Avocado: healthy fats, vitamins E, K, B6, C, and folate
- Spinach: folate, vitamin D, iron, and may help decrease oxidative stress
- Coconut milk: anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties
- Coconut flakes: healthy source of fat, fiber, iron, and protein
- Matcha: high in antioxidants, helps you to stay alert, helps lower blood pressure, among many other health benefits!
What kind of matcha should I use?
We used our Barista Edition Ceremonial Grade, but you may use whatever grade you happen to have on hand. Culinary grade or even our collagen matcha latte mix would be wonderful substitutes.
Coconut Vanilla Matcha Smoothie
Ingredients:
- 1 banana, frozen
- ¼ cup frozen avocado chunks
- 2 cups spinach
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 3 tbsp coconut flakes
- 2-3 tsp matcha
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Directions:
- Add all ingredients to a blender; blend on high, until contents become smooth and combined. Add more liquid as necessary. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
